For first time parents, an ante natal class is the perfect way to learn all about labour, birth and the first few months of looking after a newborn. Best for those looking for a class that starts from the second trimester
Babies and Beyond provide a full comprehensive programme that starts from 12 weeks of pregnancy and takes you all the way to delivery and beyond. Classes cover all aspects of pregnancy and birth including How to eat healthily and stay fit during pregnancy, massage skills and breathing techniques for labour, the different means of natural pain relief as well as advice on the different stages of labour and what to expert during the birth itself. The team at Babies and Beyond also offer workshops you can attend once your baby is born as well as Mama mornings where you can meet other mothers and compare notes!

Malaak Mama & Baby Care offer a range of classes as well as antenatal. You can also access hypnobirthing classes, stimulation classes, and baby massage classes in Dubai for when your baby is older. They offer a range of parental workshops and mama mornings that allow you to meet other Mums. Antenatal classes cover topics such as The Birth, pain relief & intervention, feeding basics and sleeping. Antenatal classes are led by leading UAE maternity expert, Celine de Scally.

Dr Suleiman hospital provides free antenatal classes in Dubai for anyone. All you have to do is call up and book in, you don’t even have to be delivering at the hospital. Week one of the course covers how to look after your newborn, week two is all about breastfeeding, week three concentrates on the various stages of labour and pain relief. Week four looks at baby and child safety.

Best for straightforward medical advice from trained midwives
The midwives at Health Bay polyclinic are all western trained and available to help with all aspects of pregnancy, labour, delivery and looking after your newborn. Topics covered in the classes include caring for yourself during pregnancy, active labour and birth, possible challenges of labour as well as care of a new-born baby and breastfeeding and infant feeding.

Get a tour of the hospital, the labour ward and the delivery rooms with these classes offered free for those who plan to deliver at a Mediclinic Hospital. Classes also cover what to bring to hospital and when to come, birth plan, Labour and Birthing, Induction of labour, Pain management, Birth (including video) and birthing positions as well as obstetric interventions (c/section, vacuum, episiotomy) and Postnatal (baby bathing, changing nappy).
Classes start from 24 weeks of pregnancy and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Best for advice from advice from one of Dubai’s leading obstetricians
Topics covered during the classes include caring for yourself during pregnancy, how to manage labour and birth, pain relief, challenges during labour, breast feeding and infant feeding as well as caring for your newborn.

Mums to be are encouraged to bring their birth partner along to these classes which cover preparing for labour and delivery, normal delivery, cesarean delivery as well as looking at what happens when things don’t go according to plan. They also look at alternative pain relief methods such as hypnobirthing, information on stem cell collection as well as baby care and an introduction to baby massage.
